As 2016 comes to an end I can't help but reflect on everything that happened this past year. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I am so grateful for every experience that I went through. This is because in each and everything that we experience there is a great lesson to be learned. I honestly feel like this year I was much more open to accepting and seeing people/things for what they truly were, and not for what I perceived them to be. It is from this  stand point that I was able to detox and remove myself from relationships, circumstances, and commitments that I felt were not positively impacting my life. You only live once and every day you have a choice to make about the type of life you want to live and whom to surround yourself with. Change is hard but it is also good, and sometimes more necessary than we realize. Especially once you identify who is really for you vs against you. It is amazing how so many times people show us their true colors in the little things they do or say, yet we fail to see their true nature. Either way I am grateful for it all, because you learn, grow and get wiser along the journey of life.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you that read my blog as well as all my subscribers. I also appreciate all your comments that you leave on the posts. I hope to continue this creative journey with you in the next years to come, as I continue to grow not just as a fashion blogger, but as a fashion designer as well. This is why I chose one of my last 2016 posts to showcase a design of mine styled with other pieces to create a holiday look.  I designed and made the maxi skirt. The different textures of  leather, velvet, and the skirt all balance each other out.  Representing the balance we all need in our lives.

Make 2017 your best year ever!!
