Sustainable Fashion: My Eco-Friendly Style - I WANT THAT WHOLE LOOK

Sustainable Fashion: My Eco-Friendly Style

Hello wonderful people!
First of all I would like to give a shout out to my girl Tania from the blog "Tanialov3s" . I love her style, and noticed that she incorporates a lot of thrifted items in her looks. So this inspired me to go thrifting for the very first time, and challenge myself to create a whole outfit from thrifted items. I decided to go for an elegant look since my last post was all about elegance on a budget, and making your own clothes. However, I do realize that not everybody can sew. I had previously mentioned thrifting as an option to be stylish on a budget in a previous post. This is a great way for me to show you that it is achievable.

What I learned from this experience is that thrifting is like treasure hunting. You can really find some treasures if you have a great eye and an idea of what you are looking for i.e quality, style, etc. I found some items with tags still on them. How amazing is that! What better way to save the environment, be stylish, and not break the bank. Just take everything to the dry cleaners before you wear it, and it is all as good as new:-) Everything I have on except the earrings is thrifted!

  1. You definitely got some cute finds! I haven't been to the thrift store in forever I don't think I could handle the art of paitcene right now being pregnant lol but normally I love going thrift! Once I took a friend to savers and we had a ball! Definitely will be hitting up some local thrift stores after I have my baby

  5. I 100% agree that thrifting is like treasure hunting. I really like it for two reasons: it's generally much, much less expensive and you can find such unique items (sometimes really nice stuff that would've cost quite a bit otherwise).

  22. I have never been a good thrifter....I always give up before I find anything. It is too frustrating to me to have to go on a "treasure hunt" for clothes. But to the people who do it, props!

  26. I love your "treasures". I started thrift shopping as a teenager and made some fantastic finds! Definitely a great day out with some friends. (Get a sitter and make a whole day of it...coffee, thrifting, lunch and a friend or several.)

  30. I'm not very good at thrifting. I feel like it's like searching for a needle in a hay stack and I'm way too impatient. You found great pieces!
